Did you mum ever tell you to stop acting like a baby when you were younger?
What if I told you it could actually make you more attractive to the opposite sex…
Allow me to explain why acting like a baby can bring success and happiness into your life.
Ever been at a social event and someone arrives with a new born baby?
It immediately draws everybody’s attention, especially the women in the room.
There’s something so pure about a baby.
A baby hasn’t developed ego.
There’s no agenda. There’s no malice. There’s just real authentic responses (both good and bad) to the situation it finds itself in.
It can’t express feelings other than what it experiences in the present.
And because of that, a baby has a magnetic personality.
Now I’m not saying you should start throwing hissy fits and shitting yourself in public.
But understand that an authentic expression of your true personality, including both your positive and negative feelings is incredibly attractive (and often generates “The Spark“).
The only problem is, most of us are too scared and inhibited to do this with anyone we meet.
(Full credit goes to the book Psycho-Cybernetics, for the baby analogy. Highly recommended reading.)
3 tips to annihilate social fears
Here are my 3 tips to annihilate those fears and reveal your inner baby.
1. Stop taking yourself so damn seriously
Life’s too short to be stuck up. Laugh at your failings and embrace your shortcomings.
Accept you will fail and learn to re-frame that as a positive, learning experience, not one to beat yourself up over.
2. Stop worrying about what others think
Although I’ve said act like a baby, seeking approval from others to make yourself feel good is a childish behaviour you need to eradicate.
It’s needy and energy sucking.
Instead, love yourself as you are now. Then you won’t need that external validation, and won’t care so much what others think of you.
Plus, remember other people are far to busy with their own insecurities and self-doubt to spend time concentrating on yours.
3. Be grateful for what you have
Instead of focussing on all the shit you want to change about yourself, focus on the good.
What aspects of your personality do you love? Which of your character traits do people often comment on positively?
Hold those front and centre of your mind at least one a day.
That’s all I’ve got for you.
